Conspiracy Theories, Fake News and Critical Investigations

An interdisciplinary examination through the lens of the Social Sciences of the role of hoaxes, myths, urban legends, and health scares in our contemporary social media landscape. Focuses on the development of the critical thinking and digital literacy skills needed to evaluate journalistic, academic, and alternative media sources. Three Hours; one term.
