Academic Advising

An academic advisor is a type of counselor who helps students navigate the academic side of the University system. Academic advisors can assist you with:

  • program requirements, dropping and adding courses
  • program selection, applications and changes
  • studying abroad
  • transfer credits
  • notification of absence form (MSAF), deferred exam requests and petitions for special consideration
  • appeals procedures
  • referral to other campus services

Applying for Level II

The process for applying to your Academic Plan (program or major) of choice begins in March with the Level II Showcase.

Level I students will apply to Academic Plan choice(s) for Level II through Mosaic in late April.
