Justice for Colten

A day of action to gather, mourn, and plan

Feb. 14, 2018, Drop-in between 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in L.R Wilson Hall, room 1811

Feb 13, 2018

Staff, students, and faculty from across the Indigenous community at McMaster are gathering on Wednesday February 14th, 2018, to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and to plan, mourn, and support each other, as we collectively find ways to show support to the family of Colten Boushie, and our brothers and sisters in Saskatchewan in the wake of Gerald Stanley’s non-guilty verdict.

We will be gathering in LR Wilson Hall 1811, from 9am – 3:30pm. Please feel free to bring your tobacco and a potluck dish (if you are able) to share throughout the day.

Our immediate plans are to contribute to on-going fundraising efforts in order to make a donation to the Go Fund Me account verified by Colten’s family
We urge anyone who is able to donate to do so, or organize independent fundraising efforts toward this account.

Wednesday’s gathering will be a chance to support one another and heal, and to collectively work on a banner to be carried at Thursday’s rally at City Hall in Hamilton and to further brainstorm future action items. Thursday’s rally begins at 4pm, and plans are underway to coordinate travel from campus for those interested
