Dawn Martin-Hill has received the 2022 University of Oklahoma International Water Prize

Dr. Martin-Hill received the prize in recognition of her commitment to improving water security for the people of the Six Nations of the Grand River, the largest Native reserve in Canada.

Dawn Martin-Hill, associate professor of anthropology and Indigenous studies, has been named the 2022 University of Oklahoma International Water Prize recipient. The prize recognizes her commitment to improving water security for the people of the Six Nations of the Grand River, the largest Native reserve in Canada. Her work advances our understanding of how water quality and security are linked to Indigenous community culture, livelihood and health.

Martin-Hill will give the address at the International WaTER Conference set for Sept. 26-28, 2022, in Norman, Oklahoma (USA).
