Important dates for Winter 2018

2018 is a new year with new things to learn. Keep these dates in mind to stay on track this semester.

Welcome back! Take note of these deadlines for the semester ahead.

  • From the Office of the Registrar
    • Thursday, January 4: Classes begin
    • Friday, January 12: Last day for registration changes
    • January 19 - 25: Mid-Term Recess
    • Friday, March 16: Last day for course drop (without failure)
    • Friday, March 30: Good Friday (no classes)
    • Monday, April 9: Last day of classes
    • Monday, April 11 – 26: Final exams

  • Student awards and scholarships
    • OSAP funds should be released by January 15.Apply for awards on Mosaic by clicking on ‘Apply for Financial Aid’, and be sure to check out external scholarships

  • Level 2 program selection
    Students enrolled in first year Social Sciences choose a field of study before the end of this semester. Here is a timeline of this process:

    *Please note: Students wishing to apply to Social Work must submit an application by March 1 to the School of Social Work.Level 2 Showcase: March 8, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm in LRW Community Room. We’ll be ready to speak to the options in our 12 departments, 3 certificate programs, Office of Experiential Education, and life post-graduation.

    • April 9 - 27: Students rank their program choices on Mosaic.
      • Students must have selected 4 programs of interest by April 28.
      • By June 6, students must confirm whether they have met the requirements to apply for a level 2. If so, offers will begin to display on Mosaic during the first half of June.

    • Enrollment for level 2 courses begin around June 25 (tentatively).
  • Mark your calendars – it’s almost time to graduate!
