Biography

Nicholas is entering his second year in the PhD program at McMaster's School of School of Social Work in 2016. He received both his BSW and MSW from Ryerson University in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Nick's work in the field has focused on addressing addictions and homelessness through an integration of critical psychotherapeutic perspectives and harm-reduction service provision. Currently Nick is also pursuing training at the Advanced Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program (ATPPP) of Toronto's Psychoanalytic Society.

His doctoral studies will involve a psychoanalytic investigation of intersubjectivity, power relations, and ethics in addiction treatment relationships.
