I am a fourth year student in the school of social work at McMaster University. Prior to undertaking doctoral studies, I spent ten years working with young people living without stable housing in Toronto’s youth shelter system, and for the past few years I worked as a research and evaluation analyst for a national youth serving organization.

My research program revolves around broad questions of social engineering and social justice within the changing nation states of Western democracies, and relatedly, in processes of intergenerational reproduction and course-correction within justice-desiring professional social work.  My dissertation research is a reparatively oriented history of the recent past of justice-oriented academic social work in Canada.

I am extremely appreciative of the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship that allows me engage in this learning, and the support afforded by a research residency with the Sherman Centre for Digital Scholarship.
