Field Trip to Queen's Park Visit

On Monday, October 15, 2018 undergraduate students from two classes visited the Main Ontario Legislative Building at Queen's Park in Toronto.

The students were from the fourth year seminar led by Distinguished Visiting Professor Dave Levac, Immediate Past Speaker of the Ontario Legislative Assembly. The second class was the third year course in Canadian Politics and Public Policy taught by Emeritus Professor Henry Jacek.

In the featured photo, the visiting group is standing on the Grand Staircase facing the Main First Floor Lobby  of the Main Legislative Building. In the front row centre Professor Dave Levac is on the right of the current Speaker, Ted Arnott.

During the visit the students were introduced to the Legislature by Speaker Arnott at the beginning of Question Period. In the afternoon the students had private meetings with important leaders of the Progressive Conservative, New Democrat, Liberal and Green political parties.
