Political Science students shine

Undergraduate students, Sneha Moraes, Adam Chiaravalle, James Ankers and Gabriela Niemczyk recognized for outstanding academic achievements.

At this year’s graduation, four of the Department’s graduates were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the undergraduate program.

Sneha Moraes received the Felix Litkowski Prize in Political Science, for having demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. This prize was established in 1987 by Albert Litkowski (Class of '78) and Richard Litkowski (Class of '86) in honour of their father.

James Ankers was awarded the Political Science Prize.  This prize was established in 1982, and is awarded to graduating students who have completed their program primarily on a part-time basis and who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Adam Chariavalle received the Political Science Honours Essay Prize. This prize, also established in 1982, is granted for outstanding academic achievement in the 4Z06 Honours Essay course.

Gabriela Niemczyk was awarded the CFUW-Hamilton Memorial Prize in Political Science. This prize was established in 2015 by the members of CFUW-Hamilton on the occasion of the Club's 90th anniversary. To be awarded to a female student graduating from a Political Science program who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

The Department congratulates all four recipients for their outstanding achievement, and thanks them for their contributions to our undergraduate program!
