Registration Open - Mapping the Global Dimensions of Policy 6

Sixth Annual Graduate Conference on the Internationalization of Public Policy, Feb. 6 to7, 2017 at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario

Jan 13, 2017

The Department of Political Science at McMaster University, in conjunction with the Canada Research Chair in Public Policy and Globalization, Institute for Globalization and the Human Condition, Engineering and Public Policy Program, and the Gilbrea Centre for Studies in Aging, the Centre for Climate Change, the Ontario Public Interest Research Group, and CUPE 3906 cordially invites graduate students to the sixth Graduate Conference on the Internationalization of Public Policy: Mapping the Global Dimensions of Policy 6.

Drawing upon McMaster’s expertise in the field of international and comparative public policy, the conference theme focuses on the global dimension of policy and aims to bridge the gap between international relations and public policy by investigating how “the global,” including institutions, actors, structures, and ideas intersects with regional, national, and local jurisdictions to create particular policies and outcomes. We welcome papers from all social science and humanities disciplines addressing any aspect of the internationalization of public policy, including, but not limited to Political Science, Sociology, History, Geography, Law, Psychology, Labour Studies, and Philosophy.

Plenary speakers include Heather Whiteside, Department of Political Science, University of Waterloo & Candace Johnson Department of Political Science, University of Guelph.
