Work and Labour Studies hosts second annual Work and Environment Showcase
Students from a first-year Work & Labour class filled the Student Centre atrium on Nov 27, presenting their innovative solutions to issues at the intersection of labour and the environment.
The Work and Environment Showcase featured poster presentations covering topics including fast fashion, electric vehicles, cryptocurrency, natural gas and more.
Students from WORKLABR 1E03 Navigating the World of Work presented their research and fielded questions from students, staff and faculty in the busy student centre.
It’s the second iteration of the showcase, and Assistant Professor Tommy Wu said the showcase was a success.
“The students and I worked hard to put the showcase together and we’re so thankful to all the folks who stopped by,” said Wu. “We’re thrilled to see that many people are concerned with the challenges facing work and the environment.”
